LUMS has a beautifully landscaped campus, spread over 100 acres, with world class facilities. A separate building for the SDSB is under construction and is expected to be functioning by August 2010.
A large two-tiered building, the Academic Block, has a covered area of 150,000 square feet. It comprises a cluster of semi-independent modules assembled around a central courtyard. Some of the main facilities include classrooms, auditoriums, discussion rooms, conference rooms and offices.
For the MBA and Executive MBA classes there are dedicated class rooms with defined seating plans and name tags. This set up is a requisite for case classes. Each class room is equipped with computers, multimedia projectors, overhead projectors and speakers to aid the instructors in various teaching tools and mediums.
The LUMS Library is the first automated library of Pakistan that provides excellent services and facilities to fulfill the information needs of its clients. The library is equipped with state-of-the-art systems and technologies. It has a collection of over 52,000 volumes comprising printed and electronic information sources. The library aims to encourage and support the academic and research activities of LUMS faculty, staff and students. It provides a full range of services that include book loans, online information searching, reference services, inter-library loan, document delivery, photocopying, viewing of audiovisual and microfilm materials, access to virtual collections & digital resources, CD-ROM & online searching etc.

Teaching and learning at LUMS has always been rigorous, challenging, and technology-intensive. The Information System Technology (IST) supports academic and administrative computing systems and spearheads IT-initiatives to ensure adequacy of the technology infrastructure. LUMS offers a rich and diverse computing environment that effectively meets the productivity requirements of its students, faculty and staff. Each day, the LUMS community plugs-in to the campus LAN via 1200 access points spread across computing labs, academic units, student hostels, faculty residences, and the library. Those who are off-campus have secure, web-based access to on-line course support services such as enrolment, assignments and grades, message boards and e-mail. The campus network is based on a high-speed fibre backbone with Gigabit uplinks and dedicated high-end servers and switches.
Computing resources in labs are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are a total of five general-purpose labs equipped with high-end workstations, document scanners and high-speed laser and line printers. The University also hosts a dedicated Java lab with an Ultra Sparc II server and sunray appliances. Students living on-campus also have the facility to connect their personal computers to the LUMS network via high-speed connections provided in each hostel room. To improve access and availability, IST has recently introduced e-mail kiosks at the new library building.
To assist in MBA assignment submission a special Central Management System (CMS) has been designed. For the distant learning of EMBA special software is used.
LUMS offers quality on-campus housing facilities to students as almost 50% of them stay on campus every year. A total of eight hostel blocks (three for girls and five for boys) are already operational. The on-campus hostel accommodation currently has a capacity to house 414 female students and 804 male students. Each hostel block offers a friendly and secure environment to its inhabitants, and is equipped with a wide range of facilities including laundry rooms, kitchens, TV lounges, and easy access to dining facilities as well as the LUMS computer network. Dedicated hostel staff is accessible to students for help at all times, and emergency services including transport facilities are available.
The Executive MBA participants are housed in the Rausing Executive Development Centre at a discounted rate provided they opt for on-campus residence for the entire duration of the programme.
The dining block, known as the Pepsi Dining Centre, covers an area of 14000 square feet. It is open for all meals to students, faculty and staff. The centre offers a diverse range of food for meals and tasty snacks at very reasonable prices. It includes a student centre and an executive dining area.
The LUMS super store caters to the basic requirements of the individuals living on campus. It provides easy access to daily provisions including toiletries, snacks and medicines.
The University has a beautiful and spacious mosque on campus that has separate facilities for men and women for offering their prayers.
The University has a comprehensive collection of sports facilities that includes a state of the art sports complex. There are lots of opportunities to get involved in sporting activities at LUMS. The options of basketball, badminton, squash, football, table tennis, volleyball, cricket, rugby, boxing and more are available for students.
