Mr. Waqar Ali

Waqar is an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). He joined LUMS in 2015 after returning from London where he worked in practice for five years.

Being trained with Grant Thornton London in assurance services to investment management businesses (funds, trusts and private equity / venture capitalist businesses) he further specialized by joining PricewaterhouseCoopers London in treasury-reporting advisory to airlines and commodity traders.

At the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) he mentors courses on accountancy, financial reporting and auditing. His research interests include Islamic Accounting and Finance. Waqar has an established association with SDSB where he also graduated in Accounting and Finance with a gold medal (best student award). His interests include aviation and fitness.
