Wednesday, December 6, 2017

The SDSB Faculty recently studied Mandarin under the tutorship of a LUMS alumna. The aim of the course was to impart adequate knowledge for those who are learning to speak Chinese and want to gain fluency in everyday speaking and grammar use. The teaching process involved full-immersion method including text, audio, visual, worksheets, Language Exchange Partners, Group Work with 2 to 3 people.

The 16 session programme took the students from 1 to 150 words and characters, over 100 sentences and the ability to make new sentences, including minimum 10 conversation sentences and phrases. This initiative is going to help the faculty in holding a comfortable conversation in Chinese while interacting with Chinese officials.
