The LUMS EMBA programme opened new avenues of learning for me as I could manage my professional and personal commitments and attend EMBA classes over the weekend. The diverse culture, case study method approach, amazingly talented and experienced faculty and my EMBA batch mates at LUMS helped me acquire knowledge and ideas about marketing, customer service, budgeting, accounting, developing business models, supply chain, asset and resource management, innovation, business law and ethics and managing teams effectively. 

Being an entrepreneur who comes from an engineering background, the EMBA journey at SDSB was an enriching experience that elevated my vision and approach to management. The case method pedagogy of the programme provided a unique opportunity to analyse diverse business problems from multiple facets and appreciate different approaches toward problem solving. It also encouraged me to do a lot of reflection about my past practices as a business manager and critically evaluate my decision-making and management style. 

The EMBA programme helped me put things in perspective, taking learnings and lessons applied by the best companies and implementing the same in my work. This happened as we studied problems identified in various case studies that were developed on renowned local and international companies, which are very similar to the challenges we face, and helped diagnose problems with the best alternatives at hand. 

LUMS EMBA is one of the best designed programs in Pakistan for working professionals. The classes on every alternate weekend allow for day to day requirements of work, travel, and family life to continue almost uninterrupted. One of the other positives was the balance between academic theory and real world application - the case method was fantastic in grounding us in theoretical knowledge, and assignments typically focused on applying our learning to real world issues in our organisations.
