The Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at LUMS has been awarded accreditation for five years by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), and has been placed in the ‘W’ category – the highest rank. The School received its first NBEAC accreditation in 2016 for four years. This reaccreditation comes after an extensive evaluation process.

“Achieving NBEAC accreditation is no small feat. It validates the quality of business programmes offered at LUMS,” said Vice Chancellor, Dr. Arshad Ahmad. “This accomplishment strengthens our collective resolve to lead the business education landscape in the country,” he added.

NBEAC is Pakistan’s national accreditation authority facilitating quality business education in Pakistan. It seeks to ensure that business schools meet global standards, and encourages competitiveness, quality, continuous improvement, and sustainability in the Pakistan business education sector.

Dr. Alnoor Bhimani, Dean SDSB commented, “SDSB attracts high calibre students, staff and academics who seek to excel.  This is what drives the school’s educational achievements.  The NBEAC accreditation award acknowledges this, confirming SDSB as Pakistan’s pre-eminent business school.”

Out of the 207 business school campuses in Pakistan, only 32 are accredited and only less than 5 percent receive the ‘W’ category award.
