SDSB Celebrates Academic Excellence at Dean’s Honour List Ceremony 2025
The Dean’s Honour List (DHL) Ceremony at LUMS was held on Friday, February 14, 2025, to recognise the exceptional academic performance of students from the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB). The event celebrated the hard work and dedication of 155 undergraduate students who secured a place on the Dean’s Honour List. The ceremony provided a platform for students to celebrate their success alongside teachers, parents, and peers.
The ceremony was attended by senior leadership, including Rector Shahid Hussain, Provost Dr. Tariq Jadoon, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ali Cheema, and SDSB Dean Dr. Fazal Jawad Seyyed. The presence of LUMS leadership highlighted the importance of academic excellence and the University's commitment to nurturing talent.
A total of 155 students were honoured, with 52 students from the SDSB Class of 2025, 51 from the Class of 2026, and 52 from the Class of 2027 making it to the Dean’s Honour List. Certificates were distributed by senior leadership, acknowledging the academic achievements of the students.
During the event, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ali Cheema and Dean Dr. Fazal Jawad Seyyed addressed the audience. Dr. Cheema emphasised the rigorous academic environment at LUMS and the hard work required to achieve such recognition. He noted that the Dean’s Honour List is not only a mark of academic success but also an indication of discipline, focus, and resilience.
Dr. Fazal Jawad Seyyed highlighted the SDSB’s status as a flagship institution at LUMS. He discussed the critical role of faculty in maintaining high academic standards and supporting students in their educational journey. Dr. Seyyed also reiterated the School’s commitment to producing graduates who contribute meaningfully to Pakistan's development and embody the values of responsibility and service to society.
