Information Session on Becoming a United States Certified Public Accountant
A session aimed at guiding undergrad students on the pathway to becoming a United States Certified Public Accountant (CPA) was held on Wednesday, April 17th. It featured Mr. Mohammad Maqbool, a distinguished Chartered Accountant from England & Wales, Canada, and Pakistan. Mr. Maqbool, who holds membership in the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountancy (CIPFA) UK and serves as a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), provided valuable insights into the CPA qualification process.
Joining Mr. Maqbool was Mr. Mian Muhammad Farhan, a chartered accountant with over three decades of professional experience. Mr. Farhan’s expertise spans various domains, including business governance, educational consultancy, financial advisory, team development, and corporate training.
Attendees of the session gained essential knowledge about the CPA license, including details about the required exams and the myriad global opportunities available to CPAs. The session aimed to equip participants with the necessary information to embark on their journey toward obtaining this accounting designation.
