SDSB Welcomes HBL Corporate Head for Risk Analysis Session

On October 7, 2024, the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) hosted a guest speaker session titled "Industry Risk Analysis from a Credit Perspective." Organised by Ms. Saira Rizwan, instructor for the ACCT-411 (Applied Financial Analysis) course, the event featured Mr. Asad Altaf, Corporate Head at Habib Bank Limited (HBL).
Mr. Altaf provided insights into industry risk analysis, emphasising its importance in credit evaluation. He discussed the methodologies financial analysts can use to assess risks and adapt strategies to market changes.

Ms. Rizwan noted the value of Mr. Altaf’s experience in linking theoretical concepts with real-world practices. Students appreciated the session, which reinforced their academic learning and offered practical perspectives relevant to their future careers in finance.
